Unlike the competing technologies the CTS process is able to consume virtually any cellulose based biomass at any time during a process run without retooling, shutting down, switching catalyst or changing end product streams.

The CTS process has successfully converted hardwoods; softwoods; agriculture waste such as corn stover, sugar cane bagasse, onion casts, nut husks and beet leftovers; as well as grasses; specialty plants; commercial and residential yard waste and cellulose based municipal solid waste.



An existing Corn Ethanol plant can bolt-on the CTS process to extract high value protein from their low value Distillers Dry Grain (DDG) and convert the remaining fiber into sugars for production of high value cellulosic ethanol.
